FYI, This is not a hiking group for beginners. This is not a group where you come to learn how to hike. This is a group for responsible adults and experienced hikers. This is a group that does not have to hang around for every person to finish up a particular hike. If you need help, please ask and you will receive. I am a Group Organizer, not a commercialized paid Group Leader. I will organize and inform to my best abilities. This is for camaraderie and the sharing of some incredible hike …
This is a group for those interested in hiking, backpacking, and even horse-packing in Arizona's wilderness areas. With appreciation for Arizona’s wild lands and waters, we make tangible contributions to enhance the integrity and ecological condition of Arizona’s wild places. As part of the Arizona Wilderness Coalition, the "Wild Stew" goal is simple - to get out into wilderness areas and report on what we see. Exploration and monitoring are key to the integrity and sustainability of our remaini …

Welcome I hope you can join our paddle community. We are a family and singles friendly group, and often include our dog kayaker friends as well. In Arizona, there are places to paddle all year round, and our paddle club will be exploring many of the waterways throughout Arizona, and beyond. For the joy of floating, and the appreciation of venturing out to some relatively pristine and magnificent natural habitats. Any motor-less boat is welcome, though most of us use a kayak. Float Types and Loc …

The Sun Lakes Hiking Club is open to individuals who either 1) reside, rent or lease in Sun Lakes or Sunbird or 2) are former residents who maintain their annual membership in The Club. The Sun Lakes Hiking Club began in 1985 with a few hikers who wanted to enjoy the company of others and desired a more structured, organized approach to the activity. By 1987 the group was official with by-laws, prescheduled weekly hikes, designated hike leaders, and rules designed to make group hiking fun, chal …

The Greater Phoenix Orienteering Club is a group dedicated to the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is an event in which competitors use map and compass skills to navigate over terrain as quickly as possible in order to find a series of pre-placed "control" markers. Think of it as a poor man's adventure race or an adult Easter egg hunt. Our meets are open to everyone of all ages and skill levels. Come on out and have some fun running around the desert with us.
