We are three women from different countries who enjoy beautiful hikes and getting outside. We would like to invite other adults who are interested in international affairs and multicultural activities to join us! We speak french and english on our hikes - but we don't want to limit the group to just those languages - all are welcome. We are planning on doing easy to moderate hikes of 4 to 8 miles along the I-90 corridor, or other close-in spots.

Zen-Like--Are you spiritual and contemplative and find that in nature you can connect with that side of yourself? Do you feel closer to God, Spirit, the Universe, or whatever name you have for that ineffable something, when you’re surrounded by nature? Does the shaman(esse) within you just want to touch your feet to the ground, stick your nose into the foliage, breathe in and say ahhh? If so, then you may really enjoy being a part of our community, make friends and enjoy the green and lush North …

We live in such a beautiful part of the country, and our group is about helping us get out, enjoy and explore it ... and helping us make friends along the way! Many of our events are based on the Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic National Park. We welcome any who would like to join us -- we are a friendly group of women of all ages, sizes, orientations and fitness levels. We primarily plan hiking, walking, snowshoeing, biking and camping events, but we aren't limited to this. If you have an idea f …
The focus of this group is being outdoors with your dogs! Primarily the meetups will be for walks and hikes. Some dog-centric events like Dog-a-thon will be scheduled, too. And a few dog-park meetups. I try to post "notes" for other local events that might be of interest: bring-your-dog events, outdoor safety classes, outdoor gear sales (like at REI), etc. If anyone is interested in leading an event, let me know! I am happy to share the group with everyone. See you on the trail! Diana (and …

This group is about family activities including weekend getaways and escapes in the Northwest for families (moms, pops and kids) to places away from the Seattle Metropolitan area. We ski, snowboard and snowshoe in the winter, and kayak, bike, and hike in the summer, and party all times in between. Join us and get ready for fun!
I STARTED THIS GROUP BECAUSE POLE WALKING is G-R-E-A-T! I know about health and fitness! I had the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Games in rowing, but my biggest achievement was putting my body back together after a devastating car accident. Not only that I'm a workshop facilitator; I love empowering people to take action for their own results...especially health and fitness. I tried pole walking in the summer of 2009 to strengthen my arms and shoulders so that I could carry the Winter Ol …

This is a group for Asian Americans, primarily 20s-30s, who have been immersed in two cultures most of our lives. We are the bi-cultural nomads – too Asian to be accepted as fully American, and too American to be accepted as fully Asian. In this group, we've been there and we get it! Join us for good food (top priority!) and a wide range of other activities -- cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, kayaking, study groups, board games, movie nights, picnics…
We initiated this meet-up group to promote the outdoors activities offered by Sierra Club in Washington State. Our goal is to provide activities for all levels of physical abilities, including family activities. Sierra Club advocates for conservation of the land, water, and forests, and the fish and mammals who live there. We offer outings to show our members and the public what Sierra Club is doing and what we have accomplished, and to honor the magnificence of the outdoors.

I would like to encourage young children to develop a love for the outdoors, and create an environment that encourages children to bond with their parents by doing some fun outdoors activities. I also hope to create an environment that will help them learn the value of friendship and of being part of a community. Some of the activities I have in mind are hiking, cross country skiing, canoeing, camping, tobogganing, cycling, swimming in lakes or rivers, and whatever else we can come up with.
